Aluminium Sulphate

Water Treatment: Aluminum sulfate is widely used in water treatment processes, particularly in the purification of drinking water and wastewater. When added to water, it forms aluminum hydroxide and reacts with impurities and particles, causing them to clump together and settle out of the water, making it easier to remove impurities.

Paper Industry: In the paper manufacturing industry, aluminum sulfate is used as a sizing agent to improve paper quality and reduce the tendency of paper to become brittle over time. It also aids in clarifying the paper pulp.

Tanning Leather: Historically, aluminum sulfate was used in leather tanning to help preserve and tan animal hides. However, it is less commonly used for this purpose today, as more eco-friendly alternatives have become available.

Flocculant: Similar to its role in water treatment, aluminum sulfate can be used as a flocculant in various industrial processes, such as in the treatment of industrial wastewater. Deodorant and Antiperspirant: Some antiperspirants and deodorants contain aluminum compounds, including aluminum sulfate, to help reduce sweat and control body odor.
